Solstice's Guest Post

Hey everyone – Solstice here. I was just daydreaming about camp when I should’ve been studying. I am just way too excited about this summer – I hope you are, too! Flare and I have been chatting about the awesomeness that will be our LIT program and it looks like it’s going to be a “knock-your-socks-off” summer in Kumbaya as far as we can tell. I’m sure Wooly Mammoth and Pacific are planning some joyous delights in Tir-na-nog, as well!

I’ve been thinking about where we will be doing our out-trips and the options are looking great! Out-trip was certainly one of my favourite parts of LIT when I did it. It was just such a great opportunity to get to know people and to relax in the beauty of nature… not to mention develop intimidating amounts of muscle and scare the pants off your friends!… Although, now that I think about it, I have never witnessed somebody have their pants scared off. We do seem to be coming up on that time, though – not to have your pants scared off, but the time for applications! They’re due in to Trillium by the end of February, I believe, and I’m excited to see all your creative applications and hear who’s planning to come back or if anybody new is thinking of trying Kintail LIT out (I was one of those.)

If anybody has questions about the program, feel free to email me at KintailSolstice@gmail.com I would love to hear from you and I’ll do my best to answer your questions or you can email Trillium, as well. She’s always friendly and a big help. Until that time, keep dreaming of the summer. I heard a rumour that it will be sweeter than a tootsie-roll, more fun than monopoly, and that it will rank higher than in the popularity vote than sliced bread!

Cheers!
Solstice
